Introduction to the Game and Cards
- This game can be played either 1v1 or 2v2
Unfortunately, this game cannot be played 1v1v1 with 3 players, it is only compatible for 2 or 4 players
- In 2v2 games, any deck can be played with another, separate deck
- There are 4 decks total, each based on a mythology
- Each deck has 24 character cards and 1 leader card
- Leaders start with 80 health - the objective is to damage the enemy leader while protecting your own leader
- Cards are Organized by class and type:
-Classes- Human - denoted by green text
- Monster - denoted by orange text
- God - denoted by yellow text
These distinctions are relatively unimportant in core gameplay, and mostly serve to limit confusion surrounding characters' abilities
If players do not have access to a color printer, every card has its class printed on the bottom left of each card

- The card holder keeps cards visible to other players by holding them up in front of the camera
This holder will be visible AT ALL TIMES; every player should be able to see what card you play when you play it

Assemble the holder itself by fitting the pieces together as shown. All the pieces in this image should fit at a 90 degree angle.

The notches on the perpendicular pieces line up with the vertical lines on the holder shown in the graphic to the left. This is because those lines are where the vertical pieces fit. These vertical pieces divide the holder into 3 individual slots for 3 cards to go in each round.

- Each player will use 1 deck when playing
- Cards cannot be shared between decks
- Decks cannot be used by multiple players
If 2 players are playing against each other they cannot be using the same deck
- Each game will consist of 4 rounds
- At the start of each game, players will draw 12 cards from their deck at random
- Each round, players will play 3 cards by placing them in the card holders
- Cards will be played one at a time, and players will rotate around for who is placing cards
Although all the cards will be in respective card holders, this layout shows the basic function of the game. This particular situation displays a 1v1 match of the Norse deck vs the Greece deck. As shown, the 3 cards are placed down with the respective leader cards off to the side.

- At the end of each round, when each player has filled their 3-card holder, then totals for each team's attack and defense will be totaled
"Team" could mean a team of 1 or a team of 2
- The amount of damage dealt to a player's leader card is the OPPOSING team's total attack minus the player's team's total defense
This does not work negatively: if the total defense of a player's team is greater than the total attack of the opposing team then the player's leader card does not gain health; their leader would simply not take damage

- A team of 2's leader cards will always have the same amount of health because they will always take the same amount of damage

As previously mentioned, each leader card has an ability. These abilities are especially powerful, but they can only be used once per game. That is, a leader ability can only be used for 1 round out of the 4 that constitute a game. For Zeus, Odin, and Ra's abilities, players will likely want to wait until all the cards for that round are placed before using their ability. This is so they can assess the situation and see if they want to use their ability on that particular round. As specified earlier, Yahweh's ability must be used before the round starts. This is to avoid the trouble of editing every score in the Arduino after 6 to 12 cards have been placed at the end of the round. If the player of the Biblical deck does specify that they want to use their leader ability, every attack card played will be entered in the Arduino as a defense card and every defense card played will be entered into the Arduino as an attack card.

- All basic math will be managed by the Arduino circuit
- Every time an opponent plays an attack card, press the green button a number of times equivalent to that card's score
- Every time your team plays a defense card, press the red button a number of times equivalent to that card's score
- At the end of each round, press the green and red buttons simultaneously and the appropriate damage will be dealt to leader health
- To decrease the attack value by 1, press the green and blue buttons simultaneously
- To decrease the defense value by 1, press the red and blue buttons simultaneously
This will be used if a player makes a mistake or a debuff ability is used

- Certain cards have abilities that can be found at the bottom of the card
- Most abilities consist of simple buff/debuff actions for cards on either side
When a character card's score is modified, players can record it the same way they record a separate card being placed: by pressing the appropriate buttons on the breadboard the appropriate number of times

- Smaller cards will also be available
- These cards are a bookkeeping tool for players whose cards are enhanced or damaged by character abilities
- When a card's score is modified, players will have the option of using these small cards to physically keep track of how each card is impacted by character abilities
- These cards can be used to clear up any confusion surrounding how character cards have been modified throughout the course of the game

For example, let's look at the Apollo and Artemis cards. These cards both have an ability that if they're played in the same round as the other card, +1 is added to each card's score. - Hybrid Cards: These cards are denoted by a red and green number on the bottom left of the card. These cards will act like 2 cards, that is, a card that contributes to the total attack and total defense of a team, but only takes up 1 card slot.
- In Play: Abilities can only be applied to cards in play, meaning cards that are placed in the card holder during that round. Abilities apply to cards played both before and after the card with the ability is played.
- In Your Holder: Modification only applies to designated cards in your individual card holder, not cards in your teammate's holder nor the other team's cards.
- Your Discard Pile: Can only draw cards from your discard pile that has card you put in your holder during previous rounds.
- On Your Team: Modification applies to all of the designated cards among you and your teammate.
- In Play: Modification applies to all cards in play for that round. This includes cards in your holder, in your teammate's holder, and the opposing team's holder(s).
