High School Graduation FAQ:

• When will I get my cap and gown?

  • Caps and Gowns will be given out during graduation practice on Friday, May 17.

• May I decorate my cap?

  • Yes, however all cap decorations must be school appropriate.  Please check with the HS office if you have any questions.

• When is graduation practice?  Are seniors required to attend?

  • Practice will start at 9am on Friday, May 17, at the HS gym.  Free breakfast will be served to all graduating seniors.

  • Yes, seniors are required to attend graduation practice.

• When is the "Senior Walk".

  • The "Senior Walk" will take place after graduation practice on Friday, May 17.  Seniors will get to walk the halls of North Clay High School, Junior High School and Elementary to say goodbye to many of those who helped make their graduation possible.

• What are the seating procedures for guests?

  • Graduate guest seating is first come, first serve.

  • Any guest needing handicap accommodations should contact the high school office at 665-3102. 

• What time do I need to arrive on Graduation day?

  • Please arrive by 1:30pm if you are attending the 2pm Baccalaureate.

• When I arrive, where should I go?

  • Please report to the HS Student Union.

• When will the senior class graduate photo (which includes all graduates) be taken?

  • We are planning on taking the photo at approximately 2:30pm.

• What time does the actual Graduation Ceremony begin?

  • We will begin promptly at 3pm.

• When will I receive my diploma?

  • Official diplomas will be issued in the HS office after the graduation ceremony.  During the actual ceremony, graduates will be receiving an empty diploma case.

• Can I purchase a DVD of the ceremony?

  • Yes, you may place an order for $10.  Order information can be found on the graduation program.

• Will the graduation be streamed live?

  • Yes, the graduation ceremony is scheduled to be streamed live on Facebook.  Please look for links being shared through this website and our social media outlets.
