Our Character Focus for March is Cooperation!
This week we are learning about:
Reading:
This week we will continue reading our book series. We will take a closer look for things that are similar in our series by thinking about what the character always does or how the character usually feels.
Social Studies:
This week we will continue to discuss Historical Figures and their contributions to our country. In Daily Geography, we will study a state map of Georgia.
Writing:
This week we will continue to write about reading. We will be focusing on different reading strategies to help improve our writing.

This week we will practice identifying and practicing contractions. In Grammar, we will discuss how to use commas to separate items in a list.
Math Workshop:
This week, our mathematicians will continue lessons in Module 10. We will continue studying strategies for adding 3 digit numbers. Students will first learn how and when to regroup numbers if needed for addition. We will then focus on using a number line to add 3 digit numbers. Videos for this are linked below if you need to review with your child.

Science:
This week we will continue our unit over animals and their adaptations! The students will get to test blubber, camouflage a chameleon, study different beaks, and more!
OLC FIELD TRIP.
OUR NEW DATE FOR THE OLC WILL BE THURSDAY, MAY 2ND. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING THE SAME SCHEDULE THAT DAY. ALL LUNCH COUNTS SENT IN FOR OUR ORIGINAL DATE WILL BE COUNTED FOR OUR NEW DATE. PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR RMEINDERS ABOUT ATTIRE, SAFETY, AND EXPECTATIONS AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE DAY OF. THANK YOU!
