April's character focus for the month is Courage!

This week we are learning about:

Reading:

This week we will get to know different people in a character's life by comparing them to other character relationships so that we get to know and understand them even better.

Social Studies:

This week we will continue to learn about Historical Figures and their contributions to our country. In Daily Geography, we will focus on a desert map.

Writing:

This week we will continue writing about reading. We will explore how different reading strategies and tricks can help support our writing.

Phonics:

As we continue to become word collectors we will learn to try vowel team sounds in different ways and to be careful not to separate vowel teams.  In Grammar we will practice prepositions and prepositional phrases.

Math Workshop:

This week, our mathematicians will be focusing on 3D solids. Students will be identifying and sorting solids based on their attributes. At the end of the week we will learn to create and compose 3D solids. Our Module 10 Summative will be next Tuesday, April 9. There is a review linked below.
