Our Character Focus for January is Honesty!
This week we are learning about:
Reading Workshop:
This week we will be exploring different strategies to make our reading voice more more fluent. We will learn to pay attention to dialogue as we read a text.
Social Studies:
This week in Social Studies, we will focus on continents and oceans. In Daily geography, we will discuss what is a globe. We will have a daily geography grade this week.
Writing Workshop:
In writing, we are learning how to capture ideas for writing our poems. Students are discovering patterns and repetitions of sounds, words a lines when writing a poem.
Phonics/Grammar:
This week we will practice looking at the syllables in words to help us read and write them.
Math Workshop:
This week, we will complete Module 7. Students will finish representing multiplication by studying equal groups and arrays. We will have our summative test on Friday. You can find our Module 7 Pretest linked below for additional review.

Science:
This week we will wrap up our unit over Earth and Space. The students will have a summative over space this Thursday. We will be reviewing in class, but please feel free to practice the link Kahoot below at home.
