Nakornpayap International School (NIS) strictly prohibits the possession, use, sale (intent to sell), distribution, or being under the influence of alcohol, drugs, prescription drugs without a medicine registration form, or other controlled substances. These actions are considered detrimental to the welfare and safety of students and school personnel.
The school reserves the right to search all student belongings, including bags, lockers, and cars, and to conduct drug tests upon reasonable suspicion.
Random drug testing will also be enforced when applicable.
Students violating this policy or refusing to be searched or submit to a random drug test will face disciplinary action, which may include out-of-school suspension or long-term suspension.
Violators may also be referred to law enforcement agencies.
Evidence of enrollment in a substance abuse program will be required as part of the school’s disciplinary measures.
Long-term suspension is mandatory for the sale, use, sharing, or distribution of drugs within the school.
Non-reenrollment will be recommended for the subsequent academic year for students found guilty of these violations.
NIS is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all students and will take all necessary actions to enforce this policy.
