Research development

We support researchers who are applying for grant funding, primarily from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). We provide advice on research design, application development and identifying and attributing associated NHS costs. 

We also support capacity and capability building by using our Research Capability Funding (RCF) to support the development of high quality research applications to the NIHR. We use this funding to support talented research associates and fellows at our partner universities to write NIHR applications. We also use some of our funding to support primary care networks and communities to engage in research activities.
