Research impact
Research can have a significant impact on the health and care of our population and communities. We support teams to ensure their research is as impactful as possible either during the lifetime of a grant or once it has finished. We do this by supporting colleagues in the ICB to use evidence in commissioning decisions and in their practice.
Taking part in research also has additional, local benefits such as improved staff recruitment and retention and job satisfaction. We also know that research active organisations generate better outcomes for patients and their communities.
Locally we have undertaken work (please, see poster) to understand what difference taking part in research has made to participants, services and staff.
