Background to the need for proportionality.

In 2017, in response to forthcoming changes in UK policy, the NIHR RDN Workforce, Learning & Organisational Development Team collaborated with stakeholders such as the MHRA to create the Delegation and Training Decision Aid with accompanying website. A corresponding NIHR Learn module is linked here.

The schema (below left) describes the current  NIHR NW RRDN approach to supporting Sponsors & Employers, depending on the person's role and potential impact they could have on the study protocol if not trained appropriately.
