To help frame your development in the knowledge & skills needed to deliver research, it's usual that your line manager will ask you to use a competency framework.
Responsibility for development or adoption of a competence framework sits within an organisation, at organisation level, outlining the expectations of the organisation and scope of the role - therefore, you must find out from your line manager which document you should have in place to measure your progress.
If, after that conversation you find you need to put a document in place, there are some examples below which can be used with your line manager's agreement:-

The NIHR CRN created the Integrated Workforce Framework to ensure that all research roles have a relevant assessment tool.
This will become more important to our workforce as the number of AHCS-registered CRPs grows, with likely local adoption of a corresponding evidence-gathering document.
The Vitae Researcher Development Framework (RDF) is for you if you are doing a doctorate, are a member of research staff, pursuing an academic career or thinking about applying the skills developed during your PhD in another career.
The framework describes the knowledge, behaviour and attributes of successful researchers.
