NIHR CRP Bulletin January 2025
From Directory to Registration
These national resources are available that may help you with completing your application:
The Academy runs monthly drop-in sessions for Clinical Research Practitioners and Line Managers who would like to know more about the Directory or PSA Accredited Register.
This is your opportunity to find out more about the application process, portfolios, writing reflections, or any other queries you may have.
You are welcome to join when you can, within the hour. This is not a formal meeting, rather an opportunity for you to ask a quick question and have your answer straight away.
Information about the sessions in 2025 will be added soon at this link.
The NIHR Research Delivery Network supports a network of local CRP engagement leads and you will find further information on the NIHR CRP community website.
The resources to the right have been curated to help fine tune your reflective writing skills as it will be a key feature of any potential application for the CRP Register
You may also find that the NIHR Learn Insights resource is a useful one to explore too. It's a bi-monthly online magazine published on on NIHR Learn and looks at different aspects of research each edition. We'd encourage you to explore the full range, but some editions you might find useful to start:
May 2021 (identifying your learning needs) May 2022 (reflective practice)
July 2022 (CRPs) May 2023 (reflective practice revisited)
In the NIHR Learn CRP Community, you will be able to view learning resources for CRPs that can assist the application to the CRP register and then help with continuous professional development.
There is a link to the CRP Online Forum where CRPs can connect with each other nationally and discuss different topics. Anyone can add a new discussion topic. The forum is for CRPs only and they will require an enrolment code to enter. CRPs on the directory receive the enrolment key via the CRP Bulletin (sent out monthly).
