Recruitment of long term unemployed via UK Gov Kickstart scheme
Initiatives such as LCRN Wessex Vaccine Hub and LCRN Greater Manchester Research Workforce Hub.
Bank staff / NHS Professionals - either utilise their existing staff resources or create your own.
Payment of out of hours (weekend, late nights) or overtime for existing staff and where capacity is available
Increasing hours temporarily for part time staff
Offer retiring staff a zero hours contract or bank position before they complete their notice period.
Can commercial organisations able to provide experienced research staff be funded? (e.g. Chase, Illingworth etc)
Nursing associates and other non-traditional research roles to support out of hours and gain research delivery experience
Up-skill administrators to become Clinical Research Practitioners on a temporary basis
NMC registrants working in non-clinical roles - can they be redeployed temporarily?
Consider utilising the NIHR CRN Delegation in Research model (and subsequent NW Research Workforce Training Plan) to support task allocation by role.
Redeployment of staff into temporary research support roles from areas not yet fully open i.e. ?out-patient areas - or - vaccination hubs that are winding down.
Deployment of research-naive staff to observational studies to back-fill/release experienced staff to more complex studies, to build infrastructure, gain experience.
