NIHR Learn is our Learning Management System (LMS), the place that we house:
our e-learning packages - including Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
the courses we deliver locally as your North West Research Workforce Team, and
a whole host of additional curated resources to improve your confidence and competence when it comes to research
Whether you need to create an account for the first time, or you're logging back in to continue your development, you will follow the same path. We would recommend you bookmark NIHR Learn to make it as easy as possible to make the most of all of the development opportunities at your fingertips.
Once you go to the link above, there is a create account button below the 'next' box. You can also reset password from underneath that box too, if you can't remember your password.
If you are struggling to log in, need to amend your email address so that your learning records and certificates are maintained even if you have moved between organisations, or have any other technical issues, NIHR Learn Help is the first place to check. There's a really useful FAQ section which will answer most issues, but there are contact email addresses there too if needed.
Many of the courses, whether it's GCP e-learning, or a locally delivered workshop, will come with a certificate of completion for your records. An exception being 'Research Delivery Team Essentials, once you have completed that two-day programme we will email you a copy of that certificate within the following few days.
In most cases you can either view them by navigating your way back to the course page, and clicking onto the certificate itself. Alternatively, if you click your name in the top right hand corner, and select 'my profile'. You can then click on 'my certificates' on the right hand side and that will bring them up too.
If you have any issues, please contact the North West Research Workforce Team.
When you're first using NIHR Learn, it might not always be obvious where you need to go to find what you're looking for. We recorded a 30 minute Lunchtime Learn session on this very topic in January '22 and you can watch the NIHR Learn Lunchtime Learn session or play the video to the right/below (depending on which device you're currently using).
