This project aims to embed research delivery within clinical pathways, to increase staff awareness of research and to ensure the availability of training to further develop a culture of research and innovation. Through developing the workforce and identifying future Principal and Chief Investigators within the region.

Having been in research for the past 13 years in a variety of different roles across the Black Country, I have been passionately committed to increasing the profile of research across the region and creating an NHS culture where learning, research and innovation are a core part of the services that are delivered.
I have recently taken on the role of Head of Research and Innovation at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust and now lead on the Progression Plan Project 5: Engaging with the wider health and care workforce to be research active.
