This site is your one-stop-shop for resources on NIHR's visual identity, social media guidelines and website management, as well as writing materials to help with day-to-day communications. Head to our 'Introducing NIHR communications' page for a full overview of what we do and how we work together across NIHR communications.
The comms site includes a whole raft of information for colleagues across NIHR. Some of this information is only relevant for the Research Delivery Network and NIHR Coordinating Centre, while other information is useful to our wider communications network.
To make this broader information easier to find, we've created a 'comms leads' section. You'll be able to find the most popular content within seconds of visiting the page - whether it's branding, style guide or social media guidelines. We've also written some guidance to help you in your role as a local comms lead.
We are always looking to improve the comms site and make it even easier for people to access important comms resources. Please complete our 2-minute comms site feedback form to share any feedback. Alternatively you can email internal.comms@nihr.ac.uk.
NIHR's national communications plan for 2022-25 has 6 objectives:
Health and care professionals, patients and the public engage with research
External stakeholders value, trust and engage with NIHR
Internal stakeholders feel part of NIHR and function as advocates
NIHR is known for its strategic priorities and demonstrates thought leadership
NIHR’s digital channels are engaging, inclusive and integrated
Communications delivers a sustainable, ‘One NIHR’ service
These objectives are delivered through the NIHR Communications Programme Board and its working teams.
Our accessibility statement includes all of the known accessibility issues on this site. Please email internal.comms@nihr.ac.uk if you spot any issues on the site which are not listed in the statement.
