October 21, 2022

Hello Tiger Families,

As we draw to the end of the first quarter of the 2022-2023 school year, we wanted to say thank you for all of your support during the past nine weeks. It has been an absolute joy to have our students back with us again. It is our goal to provide you the most updated information in a timely manner as well as establish open lines of communication. To that end, we will be providing brief weekly updates to help us stay connected.

Yours in Education,

Mrs. Witt

Good Things are Happening at the Elementary/Middle School!

Pawsitive Office Referrals - As part of our PBIS program, students are recognized for demonstrating our core values of being Respectful, Responsible, Safe and a Learner throughout the school day. The students who receive these referrals hear their name announced during the morning meeting and receive a "Pawsitive" award on Friday. We encourage you to talk with your student about our core values and what they mean to them.

Classroom Social Emotional Lessons: - This year our school counselors are presenting classroom lessons focusing on necessary school skills such as making friends, managing emotions and appropriate classroom behaviors. These lessons coupled with small group and individual lessons are offering our students the tools they need to be successful.

Officer Harvey - Officer Andy Harvey has been fulfilling the role of School Resource Officer. He has done a tremendous job of interacting with our students, building relationships and providing resources for families, administration and teachers. He even rolled up his sleeves to help serve our kids ice cream during our recent I-ready ice cream incentive. Thank you Officer Harvey for all that you have done.

Ice Cream Incentive - Our first academic incentive has concluded with 189 students meeting their first challenge of completing their Iready minutes with at least a 70% accuracy. We will continue to set goals and encourage our students to reach their highest potential.
