Congratulations to all our 2022 -2023 Spelling Bee Contestants!!

Good Things are Happening at the Elementary/Middle School!

Spelling bee: Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Spelling Bee contest. All students did an outstanding job and we couldn't be more proud of their hard work. Thank you to Mrs. Thompson, 4th grade teacher, for organizing and hosting this event.

Word of the Week: In the morning announcements students are introduced to the word of the week. We are listening for students to use this word throughout the day in the proper context. Students who use this word correctly receive a ticket for a special prize drawing on Friday afternoon. The word for the week of January 9th, is Evidence: definition -piece of information from the text that we use to support our beliefs, ideas or arguments.

Iready Success - Our students have completed the second round of Iready diagnostics and we are seeing tremendous growth across the district. Congratulations to all!!!

Leader In Me - Our school is continuing our work through the Leader In Me program. This program focuses on developing leadership and healthy habits for students. The focus this month is Habit 2: Be Proactive. Beginning with the End in Mind. This month focuses on having a plan and considering consequences, both positive and negative. There is a family activity link under the resources section of this newsletter.

Clothes needed - We are asking that students have an extra set of clothes at school in case of emergencies. We are currently out of pants in our Kids Closet.
