Spirit Week: Next week is Spirit Week. The Elementary/Middle School students will be participating in themed dress up days as follows:
Monday, September 18th - Monochrome Monday - Wear All of One Color
Tuesday, September 19th - House Challenge Tuesday - Support/Represent your House (Toucans, Bagheera, Turtle)
Wednesday, September 20th - Wacky Sock Wednesday - Wear Your Crazy Socks
Thursday, September 21st - Disney Thursday - Dress as Your Favorite Character
Friday, September 22nd- Tiger Pride Friday- Wear Your Tiger Gear
Student Council Elections: Student council elections will be held on September 26, 2023. Mrs. Thompson, Student Council Advisor, has provided application forms and guidance on campaigning to all interested students. Forms are due September 22nd, 2023. Student council representatives need to demonstrate good citizenship, be hardworking, able to attend monthly meetings and excited about helping our school community.
Literacy Days- September 28th and Septembers 29th, we will be hosting a literacy event for students and families. We invite you to join us to find out about our exciting One School, One Book school wide program, make a craft, have a snack and enjoy some fun with your child. The event will last about one hour each day.
State Report Cards: Thank you to all students, families, teachers and staff for your hard work and dedication in the 2022-2023 school year. The state report card was just released and Newton Falls Elementary (K-3) met ALL Ohio State Standards and our Middle School (grades 4 & 5) earned the designation of Exceeding Standards!!! Great job to everyone!!!!
House Challenges: Thank you for all of your support with our House Attendance Challenge. Our attendance has been wonderful these past two weeks and the kids are really enjoying being part of a challenge. We were so excited to see some of our students wearing "House" shirts proudly displaying their house mascot.
Trunk or Treat- October 19th, 2023 Newton Falls Elementary and Middle School staff along with community partners will be will be hosting a Truck or Treat from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm for students and their siblings. If you would like to donate bags of candy to support this event, please send them to school with your student. The "house" that donates the most candy will earn 3 points.
Extra Clothes - Please make sure to send your child a set of extra clothes to keep in their locker
Lunch forms - There is a fee this year for breakfast and lunch. In order to qualify for free or reduced prices, please make sure to complete the required form.
