Upcoming Important Dates:
February 16- March 7th- Spring Fundraiser
March 3rd - Payment and medical forms are due for 5th grade students attending Camp Fitch
March 7th - All fundraiser money and orders are due
March 8th - 10th - Camp Fitch for 5th grade students
March 13th - No School - Teacher professional development day
March 24th - Spring Fling Dance
March 30th - Last day of the after school program
April 3rd - Fundraiser pick up
Good Things are Happening!!
Camp Fitch Spaghetti Fundraiser: Thank you to everyone who supported our Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. We raised over $3000.00 to help defray the cost of camp. Huge thank you to Mrs. Rankin and Mrs. Dunlap for organizing this event and to all the amazing volunteers that made this such a huge success!!
Some things to keep at home: We are seeing the return of shoes that have wheels in the bottom. Students are not permitted to have the wheels in their shoes while at school for safety reasons. Please remove the wheels prior to sending your student to school. Also, students are starting to bring more toys to school such as Pokémon cards and stuffed animals, we ask that these be kept at home.
Leader in Me Focus: For the month of March, our classroom leadership lessons focus on Habit 4 "Think Win- Win." This leadership habit focuses on developing problem solving strategies, consideration of others when solving problems and being kind to everyone.
I ready Incentive: Between the weeks of February 20th through March 17th, students will need to complete and pass two lessons a week in Math and ELA to participate in the next incentive. Students who earn the incentive will travel to the high school to watch a movie and have a small treat.
Word of the Week: cite - to reference information from a passage or story to support an answer.
Extra Clothes: Please try to send an extra set of clothes to school with your child.
