Good Things are Happening at the Elementary/Middle School!

American Legion visit - Thank to the members of the American Legion for visiting with our first grade and fifth grade students to teach them more about the American Flag and what it means to be a veteran. Each student received a wonderful coloring book about these very important topics.

Word of the Week: In the morning announcements students are introduced to the word of the week. We are listening for students to use this word throughout the day in the proper context. Students who use this word correctly receive a ticket for a special prize drawing on Friday afternoon. Camp Fitch - Our fifth grade students will have the opportunity to attend Camp Fitch March 8th - March 10th. This is an exciting opportunity for all students. We will be holding an informational meeting at 6:00 pm on December 19th. Please try to attend.

Leader In Me - Our school is continuing our work through the Leader In Me program. This program focuses on developing leadership and healthy habits for students. The focus this month is Habit 1: Be Proactive. We are developing the understanding that students are responsible for choices and principles of making positive choices. The family resources section contains a link for a family activity aligned to Habit 1.

Clothes needed - We are asking that students have an extra set of clothes at school in case of emergencies. We are currently out of pants in our Kids Closet.

Afterschool Program: The afterschool program will not be held this Tuesday, December 20th.
