Week ending:

Friday 1st March 2024

Dear Families,

We've had the most amazing week celebrating books and a wonderful time on World Book Day. Thank-you so much to all of you for making such an amazing effort! The children truly enjoyed dressing up like book characters and they did an amazing job at telling us everything about the books they brought along.

We have also enjoyed exploring the Amazon River this week and the children did a fantastic job at creating rivers and learning about some animals who live in the Amazon River.

Wishing you all a great weekend!

Best wishes from the Nursery Team

What do you think people use maps for?

What can we see in a map?

We have made our own maps before…do you remember how to draw a map?

Can you tell me which things we might need when we explore a place?

How was the water moving?

When you observe the river flowing, how does it make you feel?

Coats

As the weather gets progressively colder and wetter, we ask you to please make sure your child brings a coat to school. Again, PLEASE label all your child's clothing, especially school uniform. You can purchase a relatively cheap permanent laundry marker from Amazon.

If your child is still finding it tricky to put their coat on independently, how about trying the above "Dip and Flip" method? Please encourage your child to be as independent as possible.

Any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call the school office on 0207 254 1415 or email via swoffice@newwavefederation.co.uk
