Week ending

Friday 15th March, 2024

Dear Families,

This week we have moved on to a new topic and have been answering our curious question 'What is the lifecycle of a butterfly?'. We have read The Very Hungry Caterpillar, acted out the life cycle of a butterfly and learned a new song!

Alongside this, we have also been very busy taking part in Science week by conducting our own science experiment!

Have a lovely weekend,

Best wishes from the Nursery Team

Our Maths Learning this week

Full, half-full and empty

We have been learning all about capacity, with a focus on whether a container is full, half-full or empty.

Practise filling containers at home with different capacities. You could use water, other liquids, sand or dry food (such as pasta or rice).

Our Words this week

Below is a list of our vocabulary for this week.

Ask your child the following questions to help them to learn our key words.

What do you know about caterpillars?

How is a chrysalis formed?

How does a caterpillar change?
