Monthly Update - January
We have completed our our unit Matter and Chemical Change and will be moving on to Environmental Chemistry.
Assessment
A typical Unit’s assessment will consist of unmarked “Quick Quizzes” designed to determine student understanding before formal assessment. Each Unit will also include a Mid-Quiz and a Final Exam that will count towards final marks.
Grades in Science are cumulative and continuously build as the year progresses. Each report card mark will be a reflection of the entire year’s performance.

Unit Exams and Mid-Quizzes 70 %
Projects and Lab Reports 10 %
Year End Final Exam 20 %
