We have very high expectations at Outwood Academy Newbold, our students not only meet these high expectations but exceed them. Praise at our academy is all about recognising these students that go above and beyond and celebrating their effort and success.
What is a praise point?
What is a praise point?
In lesson you will get verbal praise from staff and your classmates, rounds of applause and praise points. A praise point is praise that is given by a member of staff. Students are awarded praise points by staff for outstanding effort and achievement.

We have postcards and phone calls home from each department, weekly Star Student awards, the tutor continent cup which your praise points contribute to and each classroom has a 'Cause for Applause' board, Praising Stars awards ceremonies, E1 student brunches, plus many more; we have of ways to celebrate outstanding effort, work and attitude of our students!
