Music is a subject for everyone. Even if you have never picked up an instrument before, there is lots to be gained from your Music lessons here at Outwood Academy Newbold.

We will focus on areas such as composition, creating music, music technology, different genres of music, becoming a band and music history.

Bridging Work for Y6

Create a fact file on your favourite artist or band. This can be any of your choice. Your fact file can be presented in any way you want to, the more creative the better!

The things you should include are:

• The history of the artist or band (Where do they come from? Their age? How did they start out?)

• Facts about the songs they have released,

• Pictures, posters, interviews, youtube clips – anything else you can find on your chosen artist to add in to your factfile,

• You could even create a quiz for the rest of the class to complete based on your chosen artist or band.
