Standard 1.8: Engaging Stakeholders

Standard 1.8: Leaders engage stakeholders to support the achievement of the institution’s purpose and direction.

Weekly Email to Patrons

In order to keep students and parents informed about the calendar, schedule, and opportunities at the school, we send out a weekly newsletter/memo highlighting important events and providing information about access to resources and opportunities. The newsletter is published in English and Spanish. Content for the newsletter is submitted by PHS faculty and staff.

Since the newsletter is submitted through our student information system via email, patrons are able to respond back with feedback, questions, etc.

Payson Postcards

Payson High School has multiple structures in place to forge relationships with ouir stakeholders. One of them is through opportunities for teachers to highlight, reward, and praise students. For example, PHS departments coordinate monthly to discuss and select “students of the month” and organize a lunch for the students to attend with their family and receive praise from their teachers. PHS also has a system in place for teachers to easily send “Positive Postcards” to students and families. The administrative team frequently blocks out time during faculty meetings for teachers to write a “Positive Postcard” to a deserving student.

Social Media and Other PR

PHS uses its social media presence for two purposes: to build our "brand" and to communicate important information to the public. Our stakeholders often respond by sharing our social media posts with others in the community and engaging in ongoing dialogue. Follow the attached links to view our presence on various social media platforms.
