Today is our tenth and final workshop.
Before we end, we would love to get some final information about you and your experience with the Stress Less Workshop. To help us with this, please complete this post-survey.
Don't forget to complete your Gratitude Journal this week. You can complete the online Gratitude Journal OR print the gratitude journal document at the bottom of Workshop #2.
Today we are going to start with taking a "mindful minute," where you are only focusing on and aware of your breath. Start the minute-timer below and think about the previous workshop lessons.
What feelings, thoughts, and memories come up when you reflect on what you learned?
At the end of the minute, write down one thing that "stuck" with you from this workshop.
Next, please select a yoga pose you want to try from the selection below. Yoga can help reduce stress because it promotes relaxation. Practicing yoga helps to build your ability to calm, focus, balance, and relax yourself.
Which one was your favorite pose?
Now it is time to give yourself a rest. You deserve it! Find your comfortable seating position and listen to the recording of the Rest practice using the link below.
After reading through this practice, take three to five minutes to simply rest with your breath as described.
We would love for everyone to make these "fortune tellers" and try them out with your family members. Print out the images below and create your own calming strategies fortune teller. These are a fun way to try out different positive calming strategies when you are experiencing stress!
Please see the attached video if you are unsure of how to do this activity.
Thanks again for stopping by each week. Not only do we find enjoyment in teaching these stress reducing strategies to students, but each one of us also uses these strategies in our every day lives. We hope that you find these strategies as useful as we do!
Don't forget to complete the online Google Form to give us some feedback :)
