We are so excited you decided to be a part of this workshop! Thank you so much for joining and showing an interest in learning ways to manage stress! These are skills that everyone will need at some point in their lives.
Before we start, we would love to get some information about you before so that we know how to best support you. To help us with this, please fill out this pre-survey.
The purpose of the Stress Less Workshop is to:
Identify signs/triggers of stress (i.e. emotion identification)
Learn skills that help reduce stress
Learn why it’s important to manage stress
Understand stress and some of its positive benefits
Learn ways to find a sense calm and stay in the present moment
Watch the presentation below and try to guess why we have chosen these specific celebrities. Who are they? What are they known for? What do these celebrities have in common?
In our first lesson and throughout the workshop, we hope to teach you some healthy ways to manage your stress. Although we have many more strategies to come, let's start with this list of healthy strategies first. Try some out and let us know how they go!
We would love for everyone to try Lazy 8 Breathing.
This strategy can be used anywhere! You can use it sitting at your desk in school, before a sporting event, and before responding to a challenging text message or conversation. Where else do you think you can use it?!
