Dear Ascent Parents,
It is of the utmost importance that your student is present at school on Wednesday, October 1st.
October 1st is Colorado’s official Student Count Day, when schools report enrollment to determine funding for the 2025–2026 academic year. For each student absent on this day, our school will miss out on $11,400 in per-pupil state funding—the primary source of financial support for our public charter school.
These funds are essential to covering the day-to-day operational expenses of running our school, as well as ensuring we can provide competitive teacher salaries, expand our programs, and grow our facilities. Simply by ensuring your child’s attendance on Count Day, you help secure critical resources that benefit every student in our community.
To make the day even more meaningful, we’ve also scheduled school picture day on October 1st.
Thank you for partnering with us in this important effort to support Ascent Classical Academy and its future.
Warm regards,
Annie Hiatt
