Together with my team, we designed a training using instructional design principles. This training course focuses on preparing future online teachers to motivate students regarding participation and engagement in an online setting. This training is a perfect example of how to collaborate with other educators to develop authentic, active learning experiences. This was a group effort to create an effective digital learning environment to foster success in online instruction. The formative and summative assessments are well thought out and aim to provide timely feedback and an opportunity for demonstration of mastery.

In collaboration with my team members, we designed a social-emotion-based learning workshop based on behavior management. Our workshop focuses on teaching parents how to support students to support themselves. This workshop exemplifies professional learning facilitation, providing mentorship and resources for parents to succeed. My module focuses on goal setting and incorporates various options for implementing effective habits and goal systems moldable to support the cultural learning needs of all families. Active learning is seen through the sharing of ideas using numerous digital 2.0 tools, as well as online resources. Additionally, opportunities are provided for connections and active learning to continue well past the completion of the workshop.
