Erasmus+

During your studies at the Faculty of Science, Charles University (PřF UK), you have the opportunity to study abroad. The most widespread program for student exchanges and practical internships is the ERASMUS program.

Each department/institute at the Faculty of Science has several agreements with foreign universities. Generally, you choose based on the courses offered by the foreign institutions. Your study plans must then be approved by the guarantor of your study program. Besides elective courses, it is also possible to fulfill domestic mandatory or mandatory-elective courses abroad, provided there is content alignment.

The selection process for the following academic year takes place in spring (for the upcoming winter and summer semesters) and, if there are sufficient funds, also in autumn (for the upcoming summer semester). You apply for the selection process with your departmental/institutional coordinator, to whom you submit all the required documents. Simultaneously, you also need to create an application in the Charles University online system.

4EU+ Alliance

The 4EU+ Alliance is a partnership of eight leading European universities: Heidelberg University, Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, Sorbonne University, University of Copenhagen, University of Geneva, University of Milan, University of Warsaw, and Charles University. The university alliance was established to facilitate and foster collaboration between these European universities, particularly in the areas of education and research.

The alliance offers students from member universities the opportunity to study abroad and to experience working in an international team. There are several mobility options within the alliance, ranging from long-term (semester or year-long stays) to short-term experiences (summer school, workshops, project meetings...) and courses, which can be either hybrid or online. There are also student mini-grants through which Charles University supports student teams collaborating within the 4EU+ Alliance.
