This email is to remind you that Saddleport will be retired over the summer and replaced by Portal Plus for the upcoming school year! Portal Plus is a modern platform that includes all the same tiles you currently use, so you’ll feel right at home—but with a sleeker experience.
Duo is required to access Portal Plus.
You can set up Duo via the mobile app on your phone for instant access, or request an authenticator tokenfrom us. Both methods are available and can be used interchangeably, but at least one must be enrolled to access Portal Plus.
Enrollment emails have already been sent—if yours has expired, please request a new enrollment email via helpdesk.
Enroll in Duo as soon as possible—this will ensure you’re ready to go when Portal Plus officially launches.
Explore Portal Plus once you’ve enrolled; all your Saddleport tiles have been imported, making the transition as seamless as possible.
There is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page set up to answer general questions you may have about Portal Plus.
We encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions through our Portal Plus Feedback Form—your input will help us fine-tune the experience.
If you’d prefer an authenticator token instead of the mobile app, please fill out this Request Form.

Dear Users,
We have exciting news to share regarding a new feature from Barracuda, our Email filter partner. Barracuda will now add abanner for external emails to help you identify potential malicious Emails from external senders.
What to Expect?
Beginning January 10th, 2025, all external Emails will have a banner at the top of the email message. The banner messages are designed to help you identify potential scams or phishing emails that you can delete. The banner will not interfere with “email preview” if you use that feature on a mobile device. Banner samples are below.

We’re pleased to invite you to join Portal Plus!
Starting next year, Saddleport will transition to Portal Plus, a new single sign-on platform for students and staff.
Portal Plus will succeed Saddleport due to the software company discontinuing support for Saddleport.
How to get started:
Beginning this Wednesday 12/18, after receiving your Duo invite (see *note below)--
Navigate to the Portal Plus website: https://go.svusd.org/portal
Log in with your SVUSD login credentials, exactly the same as your Saddleport login credentials.
Please note:
For security, login requires multi-factor authentication (MFA). However, you are not required to use your personal device.
* Wednesday morning (12/18) you will receive another email directly from Duo Security (duosecurity.com) inviting you to join Duo for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
Anyone who feels comfortable using the Duo authenticator app on their personal device can get started after receiving the email invite.
The district will be providing hardware authenticators as an alternative to anyone who requests one.
We encourage you to take this survey about your MFA preferences, which allows you to request an authenticator.

Once you log in, you can access your assigned applications and resource tiles.
Portal Plus also allows you to add application or resource tiles throughout the school year, as needed.
