It's a little old, so the screens look slightly different now, but everything still works the same.Staff: If you are trying to create a Classroom for the first time, and don't have the option to create (i.e. you only see the option to "Join a Class"), put in a help ticket and we can fix the issue ASAP.
Emailing students through Google Classroom does not work and will not work, because SVUSD uses Outlook for emails. Staff should use Aeries to email students and/or parents.
Teachers: We cannot create a "fake" or "sample" student for your Google Classroom. The student view is almost identical to the teacher view. Please see the "cheat sheets" below for information about the student view.
Parents cannot "join" Google Classrooms with the class code. Only students with @mysaddleback.org accounts can join your class. Parents or guardians can be invited from the "Students" page. See this page for help.
Why do my students keep re-appearing in my Google Classroom? I thought I removed them.
Google Classroom syncs nightly with your Aeries Gradebook. If a student leaves your roster, here are the steps you need to take, in order, to correctly remove the student from Gradebook and Classroom.
Remove the student from your Classroom. (Collect any scores you need and return work to the student before removing them.)
No, it only looks like it. If you make an Assignment with "Make a copy for each student", the copies are not actually made until the student opens the assignment. If you look at the work, you'll see "No attachments" for students who have not yet opened the assignment. If you click on their image, it will take you to a different student's work, probably the first one in the class. This does not mean the students haven't gotten the assignment, it just means they haven't opened it yet.
