Starting the 25-26 school year, SVUSD will transition to Portal Plus as the main repository for digital resources in SVUSD. This should be your starting point for any programs or apps you want to use. Many (but not all) of the tiles are "single sign-on", meaning that if you click on them, you do not have to log in to the individual website.
To get to Portal Plus, go to...
(It's probably a good idea to make a bookmark for this address.)
Your username is usually your last name plus your first initial. For example, the username for Groucho Marx would be "marxg".
Your initial password will be given to your school site secretary or your supervisor. You will be required to change it the first time you log in.
Your password should be strong, complex, and unique. Do NOT re-use your Portal Plus password for any other site. Many district resources are automatically rostered with your username and Portal Plus password.
If you need to reset your password, click on your avatar in the top right corner and then click on "Settings." On the next screen go to "Recovery," click 'Change Password" and follow the directions. If you forget your password entirely and cannot login to Portal Plus, please contact the Service Desk.
For security, log in requires multi-factor authentication (MFA). However you are not required to use your personal device. You should have received an email directly from Duo Security (duosecurity.com) inviting you to join Duo for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Anyone who feels comfortable using the Duo authentication app on their personal device can get started after receiving the email invite. The district will provide hardware authenticators as an alternative for anyone who requests one.
We encourage you to take this survey about your MFA preferences, which allows you to request an authenticator. For more information on how to set up DUO and questions are found in the FAQ.
Once you log in, you can access your assigned applications and resource tiles. If you are missing an app, please place a Service Desk Ticket.

The main screen for Portal Plus is shown here. All your tiles are within different folders much like on your computer. You can also save any of your tiles as "Favorites", or bookmarked tiles to the bottom of your screen in a dock format. If there is a tile you are missing, please place a help desk ticket.
One of the first things you should do is set up your display options. You can change the theme (Classic, Primary, Professional), size and color palette from the "Edit Mode" listed on the left column.
You can also right click to sort your apps, add apps, or a folder.
You can use the magnifying glass icon in the top left of the screen to begin a search, or even better, you can just start typing. As you type, the tiles matching your search term will appear.
For tiles that you use frequently, you can mark them as a "Favorite". On the tile you want to mark, right-click (if you are using a PC) or command-click (if you are using a Mac). From the menu that appears, click "Add to Favorites".
This tile will then appear on your home screen for easy access.
There is also an Accessibility Tool near the bottom right. Click on the person icon for tools to open. You can increase and decrease the text size, increase contrast and light background.
