Norms for Online Meetings or Classes

These are some suggested norms and expectations for conducting meetings or classes online.

1. Log on early

2. Use earbuds or headset if possible

3. Mute your microphone when you are not talking

4. Pretend we are in person- give full attention as if you are in the same room

5. Be aware of background noise

6. Try not to multitask

7. Hear all voices

8. Save questions (write them down) for appropriate times-use chat feature if possible

9. Speak clearly, listen often
