Pre-Apprenticeship

Welcome to the IPS Pre-Apprenticeship program! We are so excited to support you as you transition from your current role into a licensed K-12 teaching position. We know you are balancing your full-time job while taking classes. Because of this, we want to make your 300–600 required On-the-Job Learning (OJL) hours as manageable and meaningful as possible.

To help you get your 5–10 hours of OJL completed each week without feeling overwhelmed, we are using a Task Choice Board. 

Think of this board as your flexible roadmap. Pick 1 or 2 squares that fit your schedule this week, complete the task, and watch how those small steps build your confidence and your portfolio over the course of the year.
