We are delighted with the progress and commitment that has been demonstrated during the 25-26 school year with the Lexia Platform and the engaging responses to the Bridge to Practice artifacts and discussion questions in Schoology.
Forecasting for the 26.27 School Year: Volume 2 and Expansion
Volume 2 (26.27 SY) Confirmation: Following Spring Break, you will receive a form to officially confirm your placement and participation in Volume 2 for the upcoming school year. As a reminder, LETRS training is a two-year learning series.
Licensure Hours: Completing both Volume 1 (25.26 SY) and Volume 2 (26.27 SY) will ensure you have obtained the necessary hours for the Early Literacy Endorsement for your teaching licensure.
Program Expansion: We are excited to announce two key expansion opportunities for 26.27:
Early Childhood: We are developing an opportunity for PreK, Kindergarten, and 1-3 Special Ed educators who are not currently in the LETRS training.
New Volume 1 Cohort: We will be launching a new cohort for Volume 1 training to support additional educators across the district.
We are immensely proud of 25-26 cohort's dedication to literacy, and we look forward to supporting. Your ongoing professional growth with LETRS, the Gold Standard, and the supplementary learning Lexia offers, is a critical investment in the teaching practice and, most importantly, in the impact you have on your students.
This is a district-provided investment in our educators—at no cost. By completing LETRS Volumes 1 and 2, educators will be positioned to meet the state requirement, while also strengthening instructional practices and student outcomes. Together, Volumes 1 & 2 total 96 hours of professional learning—fully satisfying the 80-hour requirement for Indiana’s Early Literacy Endorsement. Indiana Literacy Endorsement FAQ from.
