It has been a fantastic journey here at the University of West Georgia. During my two years here in the master’s and Ed.s programs, I have learned a lot about integrating technology into the classrooms and designing instructional lesson plans. As I move forward into my future goals, for the next five years, I plan to work as an Instructor and toward my doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration here at UWG. I like my job helping and teaching disabled students to learn about employment skills and hoping that they can learn a skill and get a job to help them support their independence. Now at 71, this will be part of my future goals, to be able to help someone by doing this type of work. I will continue to be a lifelong learner to keep up with technology and life itself. I am looking forward to being accepted into the doctoral this fall 2023. This will mean the world to me at this stage in my life. At some point, I would like to work at a technical college teaching introduction courses or academic affairs which oversees a variety of programs and departments at a school. I think curriculum development is very important when keeping up with the demands of jobs and what students are required to learn in an educational setting. In addition, I believe that curriculum designers are very vital because of the learning intentions students are able to meet the success criteria to indicate that they have an understanding of the materials. There are so many avenues that I can brainstorm through with my future plans. As I stated in my topic sentence, this has been an amazing journey for me. I have had a great learning experience here at the University of West Georgia. I would recommend this university to anyone who is looking for great experience and learning that would benefit them for a lifetime and as I move to another chapter in my life, I will continue to be a lifelong learner.
