will be the main point of contact for your cohort - we refer to this role as a cohort lead. She has made this short video for you to introduce herself.
Like Amanda I have created a brief video to introduce myself to you all. Despite the fact I will have spoken to all of you before the teaching starts, I thought it would be nice if you know a few personal things about me.
Please make sure you look on the previous page - Preparation Before Arrival - to get ahead and make sure you have done the necessary things to get ready. There are further activities you can engage with under - University Information: Preparing to Study.

Please make sure you download this on your phone before Monday 25 January 2021.
Before being able to go on placements the university requires you to have completed a number of mandatory training elements. We are very aware that many of you will complete all, or part of these, as part of your work environment. To prevent duplication of effort and to help us decide which aspects you will need to complete before we can allow you start placement please complete this form. ONLY do this once you have enrolled.
Both of your first weeks will be online via ZOOM as a platform. Please make sure you familiarise yourself with this (if you are not already!). Links to the relevant 'zoom rooms' are available for most of the sessions. If they are not there do not worry they will be added on-time for you. Please do not try to access these rooms NOW, there will be waiting rooms and you will not be able to access the room.
Due to the government's decision to spread the return of our undergraduate learners we have been asked if we would be able to move your induction and teaching for the first two weeks fully online. We have reviewed these weeks and we can accommodate this. We know this has implications for your ability to get to know each other, but we are confident we are able to enable you to achieve this online.
Further teaching weeks will be online until the summer of 2021 at which time we will review the situation based on the latest COVID advice. Details will follow in due course. We are planning for you to attend your first placement despite COVID.
We really hope that you will be able to meet each other in person after the summer.
Monday 25 January and Wednesday 26 January 2021 we will cover induction activities.
Monday will be together with the physiotherapy apprentices whom you will work together with in a variety of modules over the course of your training. This will include activities to get to know each other as well as us and some of the staff you will work with.
Tuesday is an day with the occupational therapy apprentices as part of the occupational therapy Essentials module. Beth Sidaway is the module leader for this module and she will coordinate this day.
Both days are linking to modules which you will continue to study over the rest of the first two weeks. Below you find relevant information and links to the online (zoom) classrooms we will use. Do not be fooled by the length of these sessions there will be breaks.
