Sheffield Hallam University uses PebblePad to help learners to create and house electronic portfolios where learners store evidence which they can share with their mentor, academic advisor and work-based learning coach to demonstrate their development. People can be given the rights to view, comment and contribute to the learning from anywhere.
This supports the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours against the degree apprenticeship standard. Parts of the standard will be collated in the form of a webfolio to support the professional discussion on the End Point Assessment. Importantly it supports learners in the development of a portfolio to help demonstrate continuous professional development (CPD) after qualifitcation. This will ensure they are prepared for HCPC audit for instance.
PebblePad is split into two areas. Pebble+ is where students can view, edit and work on their portfolio. ALTAS is where a copy of the portfolios are held for assessment. The information below provides guidance on how to start using PebblePad.
Pebblepad introduction: a useful place to start!
Learners will be provided with log-in information once they start the apprenticeship journey.
The main Pebblepad pages have many usueful resources.
Although the universities internal Pebblepad pages might be a better place to start as there is information there you may find more useful to begin with. There is a section there explaining how to share information which we recommend you look at.
