When starting your course you will be assigned a named Academic Adviser who will be responsible for supporting you throughout your course. An Academic Adviser is responsible for providing you with academic advice, and monitoring your academic performance whilst also supporting you in reflecting on your own professional progress. At certain points in your learning journey the academic adviser may join you, your workbased mentor (WBM) and coach (WBLC) in one of the review meetings.
They offer a lot of support in navigating university systems. Currently the named SSA's for your course are Polly Newman and Anna Benjamin.
There are some useful links to information that are well worth exploring before you start your journey with us.

It is worth having a go at the skills check to see what your level of confidence and competence is.
Via the Skills Centre you can submit draft essays and extracts of your work online, and will receive comments, feedback and suggestions from an academic writing expert within 24 hours.
