Art

This page goes from top to bottom, with the art I've produced the most recently being at the top.

You do not know how BADLY I want to delete the stuff near the bottom, but it's good to show progress and all that.

This is some thumbnail art I made in the style of Fire Emblem Heroes of a character not currently in the game, being Reina from Fire Emblem Fates.

The video was definitely not published on April 1st and there's absolutely nothing weird about it.

Version... 4? 5? of a self-portrait, this time based on the art style of Fire Emblem: Fates. Pretty happy with how it turned out overall; I feel like I emulated the style well

Honedge / Eevee (Alt)

Smeargle / Solosis

Smeargle / Electrode (Alt)

Jirachi/Dodrio

Doublade / Eevee

Smeargle / Duosion

Rotom / Genesect

Sableye/Dialga

Aegislash / Eevee (Alt)

Smeargle / Reuniclus

Munchlax/Magby

These are some of the sprites I made for Pokemon Infinite Fusion. I'm sure you can figure out what the premise is from the name.

The Discord's really nice; it's always cool seeing the stuff that goes by in there, and everyone's really good about giving feedback.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! After like four years, I finally got into a day in Spook Me Up!!

This was turning jacksfilms into Margit/Morgott from Elden Ring. I knew Jack was playing through Elden Ring on his Twitch, so I did a little thing called "playing to your audience." I also knew he'd love my memeing on his shirt to be in the context of the character (as far as I know, the only submission to do so). He even did the "Put these foolish ambitions to rest" quote in a terrible impression! That's how you know he liked it! Here's the link at the time.

It also helps that the hair doesn't look too terrible this time around lmao

Edit 12/23/22: He also put it in his semiyearly "made me laugh" compilation!

Spook Me Up: 2021 Edition!

This is of Jack becoming one with his dogs, absorbing them into himself. Honestly not too, too stoked with how this came out; I can't draw short hair for the life of me, and the shading on everything but the dogs is kinda wack, but eh.

I actually did get in, though just as an honorable mention again.

This art is of the SA-X from Metroid Fusion in the Dread Suit from Metroid Dread.

There isn't really much of note about the art itself; I liked how I did the yellow parasite splotches, but the important part here is that I finished this art around three days after Metroid Dread was announced; I'm getting faster at this sort of thing.

This is a series of Miis I made in the Miitopia Switch port using the game's new character creation tool. I somehow managed to proliferate enough of them out in the wild for them to show up in various streamers' playthroughs. The Twerkey, especially, became incredibly popular, as it was a pre-established meme within Miitopia itself.

Here's the link to the Twerkey Mii on Miipedia. Everything under the "From this author code" section were all made by me; it lists all the character names and gives a closer look at each individual Mii.

Edit as of 12/21/22: The code's now 8KG6YTG due to the old one expiring

As it currently stands, this is my third-favorite art I've produced, behind the Padraig pieces.

It's of Rosalina from Mario Galaxy in a more refined version of the style I used for Moon Fishing. I wanted to make this sort of feel like an extension of Rosalina's Storybook, bringing in the stuffed rabbit that appeared throughout it (top-right in the attached link).

Mostly, I just like it because it's super soft-looking.

Was hesitant on including these at first, but hey, I made 'em; they're my property.

Anyway, these are the icon and emotes I made for my brother's Twitch channel, where he plays Fortnite. I'd say they all turned out pretty well.

I'd be remiss if I didn't shill for him, so go follow him at https://www.twitch.tv/shakyvase

This is actually original art for once, though I based the actual style on Rosalina's Storybook from Super Mario Galaxy (more on that later). I came up with it while I was watching a video on Mario Galaxy 2 glitches, and my stupid brain thought "huh, what an aesthetically pleasing visual" so I did this.

Easily one of the best pieces I've made to date.

This art is of the final boss of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Artifice Aion, and, once again, Captain Padraig. I started work on this soon after Chuggaaconroy announced his let's-play of Xenoblade 2, and it ended up taking me roughly 5 months on-and-off to complete. I posted it during the "finale" of Chuggaaconroy's let's-play. As it stands, I'm incredibly happy with the finished product.

This is a redraw from the Metroid manga of Ridley, but I'm REALLY happy about how well Ridley's expression turned out. You can pretty easily tell what his character is about from that grin and body posture alone.

Spook Me Up 2020, baybeeee!!

I didn't get in.

But, I'm still pretty happy with what I made for the competition. I based this one on the game Carrion, but with the monster from that game inhabiting Jack's body instead of the host in the game. Even though I consider this art to be superior to the 2019 one, I guess it just wasn't memey enough to get in. Guess that's something to learn for 2021.

This! As it stands, this is my current favorite drawing that I've made so far. It's of Captain Padraig from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in the style of the All-Out Attacks of Persona 5 (the style varies across each character, so it isn't 100% consistent). Padraig is the subject of an incredibly niche joke, being the epitome of the Ardainian Soldiers' constantly repeating dialogue lines, but dangit if I didn't put my all into it.

Edit as of 12/21/22: I think I kind of achieved the Wind Waker effect with this one. Since it's so heavily stylized, it's aged extremely well compared to my other stuff.

This picture is based on Hive Knight from Hollow Knight, as well as Hive Knight from the upcoming Shovel Knight Dig. The joke was obvious, so I brought it into being. Not anything too specific that I tried, but I really like how it looks overall.

Edit as of 12/21/22: You know, I was gonna post this when Shovel Knight: Dig released, then forgot the drawing existed after a while. Hm.

My puns just keep getting better.

Anyway, this art was made during the coronavirus pandemic (let's see how much of a time-frame that ends up being). With everyone going into self-isolation, I had a lot of time to draw. My friend pointed out that it looked like a Pokemon, which actually has a lot of credence to it. Pokemon generally use two or three main colors (black, green, and near-white in my case), and use strong lines. Though, I actually based the posing on the Heavenwing from Octopath Traveller, as it's my favorite miniboss from that game.

Edit as of 12/21/22: HEY REMEMBER WHEN COVID WASN'T A THING?? NEITHER DO I!

This art is of YouTuber jacksfilms for his annual "Spook Me Up" YIAY. Essentially, he asks his fans to make profile icons for him for each day of October by photoshopping a picture of him.

I can't photoshop.

So, as a way around that, I created 2D art from the picture he provided for people to photoshop, then modified the picture from there. It could've been improved (I forgot that rib cages exist), but I'm happy with how it turned out. He actually DID put my art in the video, though it was an honorable mention. Honestly, I'm just really happy my art finally made it into something of his after watching the channel for nearly three years. Oh, and the "Pedostache" is an old running joke on the channel.

Here's the link to Spook Me Up at the timestamp where he talks about my art: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4lZRNy7lik&t=473s

This art was based on the character Mimi from Super Paper Mario. I really liked the creepy vibe of the character, and wanted to express that in the art through the spider legs coming through her neck. Nothing much other than that.

This art was based on the two-eyed, eight-horned, flying purple parent eater, Ridley, from the Metroid series. I included this art specifically because it was a massive pain to layer all of Ridley's limbs, since they bend so strangely, and that I needed to have it condensed enough so that the image wouldn't be too stretched out. Overall, I'm very happy with the final product.

This art was based on the antagonists of the Kirby series, including every final boss of every main game in the series (minus Grill, but we don't talk about Grill). This took a reaaally long time to make, and I worked on it on-and-off for about two years. A lot of the tools I've learned in the program I use (Serif Drawplus), I learned while working on this. My favorite character in the compilation is Zero (the white eyeball guy) just because he looks so bored.
