CRUSADER CONNECTION

A MESSAGE FROM MWHS PRINCIPAL ELISA SOTO

Dear Crusader Families,

Even though the weather keeps changing on us and the leaves are falling with brilliant colors of orange, red and yellow to decorate our school grounds 🍂, the academic process here at the MWHS is staying constant. The teachers and students have established their routines and procedures for class lessons.

As we approach this season of gratitude and reflection, I want to take a moment to express my deepest thanks to each and every one of you in our school community. Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate the blessings we have, and I am truly grateful for the incredible students, faculty, and staff who make up our school.🧡

May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, love, and laughter as you gather with family and friends.

Wishing you all a joyous and blessed Thanksgiving. 🦃

Elisa

Safety drills

Dear Crusader Family,

We hope this letter finds you well. The safety and well-being of your child and all the children in our school are of paramount importance to us. We are writing to emphasize the significance of practicing safety drills in our school and how it contributes to maintaining a secure learning environment for all.

To ensure that our school remains a safe place for our students to study, learn, and grow, it is crucial that we regularly practice our emergency and crisis response plans through safety drills. These drills are designed to exercise the procedures we have in place for various emergency situations.

As part of our comprehensive safety plan, we conduct safety drills during the school year. The primary goal of these drills is to help our students feel safe and secure at school. By familiarizing them with the procedures to follow in case of an emergency, we aim to empower them with the knowledge and confidence needed to respond appropriately in stressful situations.

We believe that open communication between the school and parents is essential. By sharing this information with you, we hope to encourage discussions at home about the importance of safety drills with your child. These conversations can further reinforce the idea that preparedness is a crucial aspect of keeping our school community safe.

It's important to remember that these safety practice drills are not meant to instill fear but to ensure that our schools remain secure and ready to handle any unforeseen circumstances. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the safety drills or any other safety procedures at our school, please do not hesitate to contact us at 845.460.7000 ext#7001. Your feedback and inquiries are always welcome, and we are here to provide you with the information and reassurance you need.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in keeping our school a safe place to learn and work. Together, we can provide the best possible environment for our students.
