Breakfast & Lunch at no cost

As of November 1, 2023, MWCSD has been providing no cost breakfast and lunch to all in-person students at every school. This is made possible by the designation granted to the District by the New York State Education Department’s Child Nutrition Program (CEP). The CEP is a funding option under the National School Lunch Act that allows eligible schools to provide free meals to all students.

With the Community Eligibility Provision designation, all children attending school in-person can receive one breakfast and one lunch per school day at no cost, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for families and ensuring that all students receive two nutritious meals per day.

For more information, individuals may visit www.mw.k12.ny.us or contact the District’s Food Services Office via phone at (845) 460-6200, ext. 6248, or via email foodforthought@mw.k12.ny.us.
