Your dedication to fostering a culture of inclusivity and understanding enriches our school community in countless ways.

Mr. Christoper conway

The College Sports and Entertainment Marketing class took a field-trip to MetLife Stadium on Friday. Ten students from the class attended the event:  Harrison Aaron, Aiden Airo, Josiah Cordova, Gian DiFranza, Sean Gilligan, Joshua Leon, Daniella Martinez, Jaden Medrano, Omar Rajput and Jason Ramirez. Students toured MetLife Stadium while stadium operations prepped for the Giants vs Eagles game. They had a chance to see the Super Bowl trophies and rings won by the Giants, had a chance to sit in the press box, have lunch in the 50 club and tour the exclusive Commissioners club where seats were exclusively made from football material.  The students finished up their tour by taking pictures on the turf at the 50 and 2nd yard line.

Reminder: Inclement Weather/Emergency Reminder

The school district has built six days into the academic school year calendar in case of inclement weather or other emergencies that would cause schools to close. In the event that we exhaust these allotted “snow” days, the district is prepared to pivot to remote instruction.

Please have arrangements in place in the event of an early dismissal and make sure that your child is aware of these alternative plans. If schools are closed, please note that Club Kid is also closed and out-of-district students are not transported.

Families will be notified of any changes to the district’s regular schedule via email, text and/or phone call, based on preferences selected on the Parent/Student Portal. Please double check to ensure your contact information is updated. If you have questions, please email mcc@mw.k12.ny.us.

Notifications will also be posted on the district’s website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. You may also receive a notification directly from the district’s app, which can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play.

BRING LUNCH FROM HOME?
free sides available

For those M-W students who prefer to bring their lunches from home, the district is excited to offer FREE sides to accompany their homemade meals. Items such as milk, fruit, vegetables and more are available. Students must choose three or more of the offered items to receive them at no cost.

This offering is made possible by the designation granted to the District by the New York State Education Department’s Child Nutrition Program (CEP). The CEP is a funding option under the National School Lunch Act that allows eligible schools to provide free meals to all students.

With the Community Eligibility Provision designation, all children in Monroe-Woodbury Central School District schools attending in person can receive one breakfast and one lunch per school day at no cost, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for families and ensuring that all students receive two nutritious meals per day.
