CRUSADER CONNECTION
A MESSAGE FROM MWHS PRINCIPAL ELISA SOTO
Hello Crusaders,
Get ready for March Madness! 🏀☔️ It's that time of the year when the hoops heat up and the weather keeps us guessing.
March is the beginning of the third quarter -take a moment to reflect on your journey. Celebrate every success, big or small, that you've achieved. Remember, each challenge you faced was an opportunity to grow stronger and wiser. Don't forget to take full advantage of the after-school activities; they're not just for fun, but for enriching your skills and experiences. Keep pushing forward with determination and enthusiasm. Your future is bright, and every step you take now brings you closer to your dreams. You've got this!" 🌟
🌟 Also join us for a week of Diverse Minds and Unified Hearts! 🌈 During March 11th-15th we are thrilled to feature inspiring guest speakers sharing their stories of overcoming challenges. Our dedicated mental health workers will be visiting classrooms, while our CASAC Counselors offer group counseling sessions. Seek solace and reflection in our library spaces. Plus, don't miss out on the fun activities during lunch periods, courtesy of our Student Government and Student Engagement teams, promoting the power of connectedness in our school community!
See you there! 🎉

BRING LUNCH FROM HOME?
free sides available
free sides available
For those M-W students who prefer to bring their lunches from home, the district is excited to offer FREE sides to accompany their homemade meals. Items such as milk, fruit, vegetables and more are available. Students must choose three or more of the offered items to receive them at no cost.
This offering is made possible by the designation granted to the District by the New York State Education Department’s Child Nutrition Program (CEP). The CEP is a funding option under the National School Lunch Act that allows eligible schools to provide free meals to all students.
With the Community Eligibility Provision designation, all children in Monroe-Woodbury Central School District schools attending in person can receive one breakfast and one lunch per school day at no cost, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for families and ensuring that all students receive two nutritious meals per day.
