The Communities of Color Coalition (C3) mission is educating and advocating for social justice and human rights, especially for people of color and other under-represented groups that have been systemically oppressed. We do this through a transformational process that centers and supports those who are closest to the problem in developing and implementing the solutions necessary for systemic change. St. Vincent de Paul North Sound Council provides free new beds to children under 18 years old to those who qualify. Parents may call our helpline to request a bed, or any of our volunteers may offer beds during their home visit if they see a need.
Our helpline is answered by volunteers, who will enter people into our secure network referral system and refer them to volunteers in their local area, the volunteer will then make contact with the client to set up a home visit to meet and assess how St. Vincent de Paul may assist.
We provide each child with a twin mattress, bed frame, bedding and pillow. We believe every child needs restorative sleep to live a healthier and more productive life.
