where could the algorithm be?

On your web site, make sure that the following is visible:

• A short description of a non-technical challenge you have faced or are anticipating facing.

"Algorithms" broadly defined could appear outside of a traditional computational setting. When looking for algorithms, you should ask:

• What problem is being addressed? 

  • What is the input/output?

• What is the instruction set? 

  • Who is doing the "computing"?

• What resources are constrained/used/optimized?

Describe an algorithmic challenge, using the following prompts:

1. Identify a problem that you have faced or are facing outside of the traditional computer science curriculum. Perhaps it is an interview for a job, an internship search, the question of how to network. 

Problem that is being addressed: an independent project for Lynk 

Input:  meet the criteria to do an independent project for Lynk (i.e., working at least 240 work hours )

Output:  Gaining experience in electronics / electrical engineering ( this is my dream job) 

2. Focus on yourself as a "computer" -- what is your instruction set?

I have some questions that hopefully can be answered during my appointment with the CDC tomorrow 

• Whether or not I can work the reunion? 

• How to create a detailed independent project to qualify for Lynk? 

  • specifically what the CDC is looking for when a student is doing an independent project.

• What are the next steps I need to take after completing my appointment with the CDC

The things I feel like I have a defined procedure for: 

• Completing Step 1 and Step 2 for Lynk 

• I have an idea of what I would like to do for Lynk. I needed to come up with a solid idea, and from here, map out the curriculum for my independent project.
