On your web site, make sure that the following is visible:
A link to the polyhedral net you chose.
A short description including the number of faces and vertices (in your own words) and 1-2 paragraphs about why you chose it.
First, gain some background on nets and OpenSCAD here: Polyhedra & OpenSCAD
You will learn more about OpenSCAD in next week's lab.
Go to the linked web site to find Polyhedra in OpenSCAD .
Explore before selecting one polyhedron to focus on.
The Link: Dodecahedron
Description: I chose the dodecahedron, which is made up of 12 faces, 20 vertices, and 30 edges. The reason why I chose the dodecahedron is its 3D shape after assembling its 2D form. It is interesting to see how many holes the dodecahedron's require and finding the algorithm to acquire the number of holes it requires. Additionally, I like how this algorithm can be applied to different polyhedra, not just a dodecahedron. I find it cool to see the netting of the polyhedral form its 3D shape.
