Early Graduation

Early Out Policy

The Maplewood Richmond Heights Board of Education has established the following policy (IKFA-AP) for leaving school at the end of a student’s seventh semester:

A diploma may be granted to seniors who leave high school after seven semesters with all requirements for graduation completed.  Eligible students must request experience in a college or university, trade school, correspondence courses, armed forces, or “on the job” training.  The diploma will be granted on the normal graduation date after the student has produced evidence to show that the agreement has been fulfilled.  In no case will a diploma be awarded prior to the scheduled graduation date.  Students approved for this program may participate in graduation ceremonies held at the end of the school year.  Applications for early out must be made by the end of the first quarter of the seventh semester and must be approved by the counselor and the principal.
